Celebrate Reading

2012 Special Guest Author: Gail Tsukiyama

Celebrate Reading is an annual event sponsored by the Hawaii Council for the Humanities, . In the past, it has attracted prominent guest authors like Orson Scott Card (Ender’s Game), Christopher Moore (Lamb, Fluke) and Markus Zusak (The Book Thief). Even more important to its mission is that it has attracted student participation from public schools around the state. The goal is to encourage readers and writers of all ages to get together and celebrate reading, writing and critical thinking. The events are free and open to the public. Come listen to award winning authors and talk story about books and reading.
