It’s time…it’s time…it’s Book End Time!  Welcome to this week’s Book End, highlighting the weekend’s literary and library events here in Hawaii.

At the recent Hawaii Book & Music Festival we had the pleasure of meeting Evelyn who runs the blog Homespun Honolulu.  One of the cool things she does is run a Blog Carnival for Hawaii known as the Carnival of Aloha where posts about Hawai’i are shared from various blogs across the world.  We were recently included in Chapter 27 of the Carnival, featuring our recent review of Dan Kois’ book Facing Future.  Mahalo Evelyn for including us in the recent Carnival and to Jill Corleone for introducing us.  Check it out to find more great blog posts from across the internet about Hawaii.

Misty and I both signed up last week for the Hawaii State Library System’s Summer Reading Program.  As an incentive (for adults), I received a copy of Hawai’i Warrior Football by J. David Miller.  You can, too, if you sign up (while supplies last).  Mahalo to Bess Press for being generous sponsors!  Anyway, we’ll be putting an interesting twist on the reading program for our (and your) amusement so stay tuned!
