Look what came in the mail today!
A little under a month after I ordered it, our new Amazon Kindle 3G finally arrived! This is actually a gift that I bought for Misty (she’s been vocalizing lately about getting the latest version). She doesn’t know I bought it and hasn’t seen it yet, so hopefully she will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow! I wonder if she’ll see it on the blog first… 🙂
The new Kindle is so slim and light weight, and the improved e-ink and anti-glare screen is just outstanding for clarity. We primarily used our iPod Touches as our go-to devices for e-reading but when I saw the price drop for the smaller and better Kindle, I just had to jump on it. I did opt for the 3G model which was $50 more than the $139 advertised, but I think it will be worth it to have online access from most anywhere.
I’m sure down the line we’ll eventually get a nook and if we’re feeling luxurious, an iPad, but for now I have no doubt Misty will be more than happy to dive into her soon-to-be vast library of e-books.
